Details on our privacy policy.
iDream Financial (a group of Mortgage Agents working with Mortgage Alliance) is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This notice describes how we collect, use, share, and protect that information, and is designed to comply with Canadian privacy law — specifically the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation — and to reflect the privacy practices of Mortgage Alliance, the brokerage our agents are licensed with.
This notice applies to personal information we collect through this website, our online forms, our AI assistant Jessica, and direct interactions with our Mortgage Agents — including from visitors, clients and prospective clients, and anyone connected to a mortgage file (such as a co-borrower).
We collect information directly from you when you submit a form, use a calculator, chat with Jessica, or contact us by phone or email.
Depending on your file, we may also collect information from others, including credit bureaus and reporting agencies, financial institutions and lenders, personal or employer references, and anyone else connected to your application (such as a co-borrower or guarantor).
We also collect limited technical information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you visit this website — see "Cookies & Website Data" below for the categories and how you control them.
Identification & contact details: name, phone number, email address, mailing address.
Property & mortgage details: property value, existing mortgage balance, loan purpose, and similar file specifics.
Financial information: income, assets, liabilities, and credit report or rating, where relevant to your inquiry.
Communications: messages you send us, chat conversations with Jessica, call notes, and similar records of our interactions.
Technical information: pages visited, browser type, device information, and general location, collected via cookies as described below.
We collect, use, or share your personal information only with your consent, or where the law permits us to do so without it (for example, to detect fraud, or when required by a court order or regulator).
Some purposes are essential to providing our services — assessing your mortgage inquiry, for instance — and we can't offer those services if consent for them is withdrawn. Other purposes, like marketing updates, are optional and always require your separate, active opt-in.
Where a form on this site asks for your express consent (for example, our lead inquiry form or Jessica's contact form), we only contact you by phone, email, or SMS about your inquiry if you've actively checked that consent box — it's never pre-checked for you. In accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), every commercial electronic message we send identifies who it's from and includes a working way to withdraw consent at any time.
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at hello@idreamfinancial.ca, subject to legal restrictions and the essential-purpose limitation above.
To verify your identity and understand your needs, assess your mortgage inquiry, and determine which lenders in our network are a realistic fit for your file.
To communicate with you about your application, respond to your questions, and manage the ongoing relationship — including renewal timelines where applicable.
To detect and prevent fraud, meet our contractual and regulatory obligations, and train our team.
With your separate consent, to send you relevant updates about rates, programs, or promotions, and to understand how our website and services are used so we can improve them.
Mortgage Alliance, the brokerage our agents are licensed with (and its parent network, M3 Group), for compliance oversight and file placement.
Prospective lenders — banks, B-Lender institutions, and private lenders — and where applicable, insurers and appraisers, strictly to assess and place your file.
Credit bureaus and reporting agencies, to assess and report on creditworthiness where relevant to your inquiry.
Trusted service providers who help us operate: GoHighLevel for client communication, Firebase/Firestore for secure data storage, and Anthropic (which powers Jessica's AI conversations — your chat messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate her replies). These providers only receive what's needed to perform their function and aren't permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Authorities, where required by law, court order, or a regulatory body.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, under any circumstances.
Some of our service providers, including cloud hosting and AI infrastructure, may store or process information outside Canada (including in the United States), where it is subject to that jurisdiction's laws. Where this occurs, we take reasonable contractual and technical steps to ensure your information remains appropriately protected.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including access limited on a need-to-know basis and secure data storage — to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
This site uses three categories of cookies. Necessary cookies run the site itself — the calculators, forms, and chat — and can't be turned off. Analytics and Marketing cookies are off by default and only activate if you opt in.
You'll see a cookie banner on your first visit letting you Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or open Manage Options to choose Analytics and Marketing independently. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of every page. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as intended.
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
You may request deletion of your personal information, though we may need to retain it where the purpose it was collected for hasn't yet been fulfilled, or to meet legal obligations.
You may withdraw consent at any time, as described above, and you may lodge a complaint with us directly, or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, if you feel your information has been mishandled.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We'll need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The current version is always posted on this page, and material changes will be communicated more prominently.
For questions about this notice or to exercise any of your rights, contact us at hello@idreamfinancial.ca.
